SONY	SL25	Excessive drum speed, picture distorted	Drum speed excessive. there was approx. +10vdc on drum errorline which should be about +6vdc. drum free speed control had no effect.checked drum pgs and found pgs pulse missing, checked pg coil and foundit open.

SONY	SL2300	Servo will not lock up	Both units, servo will not lock up. on the ss-25 board theconnections at r12 and r17 were carbonized. removed the old solder.
SONY	D5	Sled limit switch malfunction	Unit would not play discs. when play was pushed, the fopwould move outward a fraction of an inch and stop. measuring resistancebetween the gray lead from s903 and metal parts of the sled motor assy,we were reading approx. 400Ω.
SONY	RS30	No ogm recording	The unit did not record ogm and the 1khz beep was always on.
SONY	CDP200	Top jumps all over the disc	After one hour of playing, the unit started skipping and thetop jumped all over the disc and finally went to the outside.observed the tracking error waveform. it was jumping like crazy.

SONY	STRAV560	No audio output	No sound output. display and all tuning functions workedwithout error. audio signal was at the input of ic602 asp chip but nosignal was being switched out. found pin 21 clock signal being held at4.8vdc. traced this voltage back to main board to q221.
