SONY	KV2080R	Snowy picture on #8 and 10, replaced ant block	The set had a snowy picture on channels 8 and 10 only. allother channels worked fine. we found the problem to be the antennaswitch block.
SONY	SL2000	Drum will not lock.	The drum would not phase lock and the drum free speed seemedto only have a marginal range. we found the problem to be caused byc409 which is part of the r/c for the drum free speed. it was open.
SONY	STRAV480	Dead unit	The unit was dead. we found that there were no key scanpulses or osc. action at ic301. close inspection revealed that therewere no ground connections made at pins 10, 11, 41, 42 and 43. this wasdue to pads not being soldered.

SONY	CPD1310	Unit is dead	Unit is not developing high voltage. low b+ (46v) of d6007(instead of 115v b+) low 17v (2v). decreased value capacitor c6007 330uf/25v.
SONY	KV27HFR	Picture blanks out after 1/2 hours	This set when first turned on, had a narrow picture aboutone inch each side. then a half hour later picture blanked out. checkedb+. i found 65v instead of 135v. sprayed super freeze on ic681, picturecame back but still narrow.
SONY	KV1926R	Picture shifted intermittently, replaced freq. synthesizer	When this unit first turned on, picture was fine. sometimean hour later, sometime a half day later picture was shifted.
SONY	KV2670R	Picture shrink virtically, ic-301 replaced	This tv had a raster shrink virtically (2 inches from topand 2 inches from bottom). vertical size control rv502 had very littleaffect.
SONY	KV2786R	Snow in picture, s/m error and wrong type ic-1112 installed	Snow in picture. ic1112 could not pass signal. it had beenreplace by a servicer with the wrong part. p/n in s/m is incorrect.it is for an invertor (ic1113) not a ff, which is what servicer installed. -hq comments: we will issue a s/b.
SONY	SL5000	P/n for metal plate	Need metal plate located beneath ref. no. 105, pg 4-3 of s/m. -hq comments: i removed this part from a defective unit and have sentit to your attention.
SONY	KPRM360	R5297 value is incorrect in sm, (4.7k 7 watt) see sb 307	Set operates fine for approx. 20 min., then starts to showflagging at top of picture. investigation of e board revealed thatservicer had changed ic5001 (p/n 8-759-100-60), and r5297. servicerinstalled 4.7Ω 7w resistor as is listed in manual. this v
SONY	KV1981R	Wrong part number, d491 use 8-719-92-53	Wrong part number. if install diode above it will short outafter overheating.
SONY	KPR4620	Screen p/n reversed in s/m, see sb 304	S/m page 87 has the reference numbers for the lenses reversed.the diagram indicates that the fresnel lens is the outer lens and thelenticular lens is the inner lens.
SONY	CDXA10	System control would lock up	Unit's system control would lock-up with volume on high.no controls operative.
SONY	SLHF1000	Rotary transformer	Problem indicated a defective video head disc. this wasreplaced but did not solve the problem. additional tests pointed out adefective head drum ass'y.
SONY	KV20HFR	Shutdown, replace reg ic681	After warm up 20 min. unit would shut down (power relay wouldopen contacts). shorted return side of relay coil to ground and measuredbase of q602 found 0.2vdc, traced problem b+ regulator, found pin 1 ofdm-36 reading 0.6vdc s/b 1.4vdc.
