SONY	XR780	Service manual errors in labelling of solenoids	S/m errors in labelling of solenoids. pm701 on pg 41 ofxr-740/747r/780/787r should be pm703 (direction change solenoid). thiswould agree with their schematics and mounting diagrams. pm901 on pg 34of xr-80 and pg 38 of xr-66 should be pm903 (direction)
SONY	KX2501	Shutdown, replaced h out tr insulator	Set had intermittent shutdown with eventual burn out of hori-zontal output transistor.

SONY	SPP22	Handset will not transmit	Handset did not transmit. pc trace of crystal leg going tot11 broken. difficult to spot as trace had fractured where trace and landmeet.
SONY	KV25XBR	Slow tuning	Set was slow to tune on antenna and catv. tuning would cycleas if searching for 4 or 5 times before locking on. found loss of h syncto ic103. jumpers were omitted from pcb during production.
SONY	D7S	Disc motor would not turn	Disc motor would not turn. i found by removing drive belt, the motor would spin ok.
SONY	SL10	Wow and flutter in sound, picture ok	Wow and flutter, picture ok. removed the tension assy andlightly sanded the supply reel assy. note: this is the second unit. didthe same thing to a sl-25, see fpr. h0402.

SONY	FD40A	Trapezoid effect on screen, replaced q806	Set came in with q602, d603 defective. replaced parts turnset on and 17v line was being load down to 8v causing q602 to overheat.in process of troubleshooting found waveform at junction of r871, 872distorted. checked collector of q805 also distorted.
SONY	ACP80UC	Unit generates interference on tv	Ac adaptor generates interference on tv sets when located ontop of set or near antenna. causes arcing on vhf chan 13 and herringboneon uhf chan 20 and 26. adding copper foil shield increased interference.three other units have same problem. -hq commen
SONY	CCDM8U	Battery will not eject from compartment	Battery will not eject from unit due to small plastic t shaped insert located inside compartment. apparently part is to keep battery from rattling in compartment.
SONY	SL2305	No pb color	There was no pb color. we found that there was no signalbeing input at ic3/p5. the signal was being lost at l6 which checkedgood with anΩmeter. however, replacement resolved the problem.
SONY	KV25XBR	No color the first two minutes	Color only incorrect for the first two minutes set is poweredon. monitor pin 14 was high then drops to level selected after about twominutes. every other function ok, also all level functions ok.
