SONY	SL2700	Unit will not power off	Unit would not power off. after much troubleshooting foundic8, pin 4, always low. all inputs normal.
SONY	TCFX705	No transport	No transport functions, ie, pb, r/w, or ff. servicer hadreplaced ic501, 502, 507. inspection revealed signals going into ic502,but not output functions.
SONY	SLHFR60	Shut down during pb of a blank tape or tape with dropouts	Syscon bd (-15) contains jw-193, connecting pin 24 of ic401(rot sens) to pin 6 of ic301 (noise det). pin 6 of ic301 goes high duringpb of a blank tape or dropout portion, shutting down the unit via pin 24of ic401.
SONY	KV1515	Black icicles/wrong part	Looks like black icicles at top of screen, projecting downabout 1/2 to 1 1/2, and diminishing toward the right side.
SONY	EVS700U	No braking from ff or rew (tape jam)	When stopping unit from ff or rew, tape jams (no braking).

SONY	TCFX311	Missing part of front plate assembly	Meter received is missing aluminum trim on front plate. oldis cemented on and not removable. -hq comments: the part # ordered is for tc-fx311 and does not includeplate. part # for plate is 3-318-833-01. please refer to s/b #149 fornew part number.
SONY	ITA600	No icm record	When out button was pressed, unit would beep error withflashing led.
SONY	CFD5	No reverse play	1) no reverse play. 2) head plate continuously cycles inpause.
SONY	TCM5000EV	Unit would record with external mic, not internal	Unit would record with external mic, but not internal. tested internal mic, ok. found open switch inside j901.
SONY	CDP30	Focus ok. achieved but toc not read	Fok achieved, runup occurred, but toc not read. eye patternsomewhat weak 600-700mv offset 500mv from 0vdc. te test points looked to+5v rail. signal @ rf amp pins 9 and 10 (efb and ffb) close to normal.
SONY	SLHFR70	Herringbone pattern when using tv tuner	After about one hour the picture would intermittently developea herringbone pattern which varied in intensity when using the televisiontuner. turning off the vcr would eliminate the problem. the picture didnot go snowy.

SONY	CCDV8	Service manual correction (rb1 and rb2 gain adj)	On page 191 in s/m, adjustment 1-18 (rb1 and rb2 gain adj)should be corrected as follows:
SONY	SL2500	Severe flagging in pb mode	When entering ff or rw, unit would go into stop. when in playpix would flag severely. i found the reel brakes were not releasing.q332 was shorted, keeping brake solenoid in brake position.
SONY	SL2400	Reel bearing not available	Part comes up on computer see s/m or'bulletin. -hq comments: 3-646-185-00 (bearing and spacer) are repaced with3-646-572-00 (bearing) and 3-646-573-00 (spacer). s/b #197 will beupdated to include this model.
